Evan Rees Club Captain
It’s been 15 years since I joined Okey. As with most ageing rugby players I needed another challenge!! In that time we have become a remarkable Club, we are now hugely inclusive, with all sections working together to take the club forward. Our Course, Catering, Professionals & Management are, in my opinion, second to none.
My chosen charity is the RAF Benevolent Fund, although a lesser known charity they do sterling work with our serving and ex-servicemen and women and I thank you all for your support.
Despite the rictus grin on my face I am extremely proud to be the first (fully) Welsh Captain of our Club and hope to serve with as much distinction as my predecessors. I can assure you all, it will be fun.
My husband Blackie and I have been members at Okehampton since 2010 and I am extremely proud to be Lady Captain here at Okehampton Golf Club.
This wonderful, challenging course is a must for any visitor, especially when our bluebells are out.
Our successful Ladies Section meets on Wednesday mornings and always welcomes new members. We range in age & ability but all enjoy the many social events and activities you might expect from a friendly club.
I look forward to welcoming and playing with as many current and new ladies at Okehampton Golf Club as I can in the 2017 season.
