Ladies Section

This section was founded in 1921 by a lady named Mrs. Dora Milner. This small section is commonly known as the “Lilac Ladies”. We have a strong group with players of all handicaps, ranging from single figures to maximum handicaps. Over the years, we have been very successful at County level, participating in competitions such as the Still Cup a County Team Scratch Competition, Presidents Trophy a County Handicap Team Competition, Sheelah Creasy Bowl a County Higher Handicap Team Competition, and The Doris Willes-Little Trophy is a Foursomes Matchplay competition played off handicap, we hope to continue participating this year.

We meet on Wednesday mornings to play most of our major Ladies' Competitions, with both 9-hole and 18-hole players. We welcome all genders to participate in our club competitions. The Seniors also have the opportunity to play on Mondays, and we host Medals, Stableford, and other team games over the weekends including some scratch competitions. In addition, there are friendly fixtures with other clubs in Devon and Cornwall.

We have an excellent Pro Shop offering a good selection of equipment and clothing, and our bar is open to all, serving a wide range of food and drink, including a delicious Sunday Carvery.
